The Twelve Labours of Heracles

As i have decided to turn the twelve labours in to twelve gangs that run the city of Nemea. The film will revolve around only one of the gangs The Nemea Lions, however because there are eleven other gangs that run the city i have decided to reasearch all the labours of Heracles. I can turn them into twelve gangs that have some similarities to the labours. Though the eleven other gangs play a small part in this screenplay they play a bigger part in the overall story.

The Second Labour: Slaying The Lernaean Hydra
After killing the Nemean Lion Heracles was sent to slay the Lernaean Hydra, a large snake like creature with nine heads, which Hera had raised just to kill Heracles. Heracles traveled to Lake Lerna which is where the dreaded Hydra dwelt, he then covered his mouth and nose in cloth to protect himself from the poisonous fumes. Heracles fired flaming arrows into the Hydra's lair to draw the creature out. The Hydra came out of its lair to face Heracles, after a while of fighting the creature he learnt that if you cut one of the Hydra's heads off two grow back in its place. The Hydras weakness was that only one of the creature's heads was immortal. So heracles called upon his nephew lolaus who came up with the idea of scorching the stumps after chopping the head off so more heads couldn't grow back. Heracles did this and when only the immortal head was left he chopped it off with a golden sword given to him by the Goddess Athena

The Third Labour: Capturing The Golden Hind (Deer) of Artemis
Heracles was sent to capture the Ceryneian Hind which belonged to Artemis the Goddess of the hunt, wild animals, virginity, wilderness and child birth, however the hind was so fast it could out run an arrow. After begining the search for the hind heracles was awoken one night by the glint of the hinds golden antlers. He then proceeded to chase the hind for a year across Greece, Thrace, Istria and Hyperboreans. There are three different versions of how Heracles captured the hind. One versions claims that Heracles captured the hind with a net. another claims that he encountered Artemis in her temple. Artemis then told him to leave the hind and that his task was complete, and yet another claims he trapped the Hind with an arrow between the forelegs of the creature.
